HomeShred gives individuals and small businesses a great way to access a professional document shredding service, tailored directly to that market.
HomeShred sacks can be purchased online and delivered to the customer’s home address, or can alternatively be bought in the reception of Viking’s premises at Sweet Briar Park, Norwich. Once filled up with documents, the customer can drop their shredding sacks off at Viking Self Storage. The sacks are then collected and the paperwork shredded to micro-confetti levels by HomeShred – the paper is then recycled.
Shredding documents is the only safe way to ensure that criminals won’t use your personal details – all it takes is a handful of data in the wrong hands for your identity to be cloned, your bank accounts hacked, and credit rating smashed. Shredding is a service used by thousands of large businesses, but offering it to smaller businesses and individuals has previously been less common.
“This is a service we have been offering for several years, using our sites in Cambridge and Bedford as convenient drop off locations, and so we are delighted to extend the same service to our new Norwich site,” said Viking operations manager, James Merrells. “We find that many of our customers have a need for shredding. The reason they need storage often prompts a tidy up or clear out of old papers – it’s a perfect add on!”
